# Pricing & conditions

How message pricing works in Instasent: prices vary by country, your plan applies a discount, and a positive balance is required to send.

In Instasent a message's price is set **per country**: it depends on where it's going, because it's each country's carriers that set the cost. On top of that standard price, your plan gives you a discount.

## How pricing works

- **Prices vary by country.** Each destination has its own price; you check it for a given country in the [cost calculator](/platform/en/billing/cost-calculator).
- **Your plan gives a discount.** Higher plans get a better per-message price than the standard rate — the panel shows it as a percentage off the standard pricing. A higher plan lowers your cost per message.
- **A positive balance is required to send.** Each message draws from your balance at the per-country price, so you need enough funds (or included monthly credit) to cover the send. See [Balance](/platform/en/billing/wallet-balance).

## RCS and fallback
