# Delivery settings

Decide when a campaign goes out and how fast — send now or schedule a date and time, set the delivery speed, and optionally send at each contact's local time.

**Language:** en
**Audience:** platform
**TLDR:** On Review & schedule you check the preview, the campaign details and the estimated cost, then decide the send: Send now, or Schedule a date and time (at least 5 minutes in the future), with adjustable delivery speed and an option to send at each contact's local time. Nothing sends until you confirm on this step; if your balance does not cover the cost, the order summary warns you.

The last step of the campaign builder is **Review & schedule**. You check what you're
about to send — the message preview, the campaign details and the estimated cost — and
only then choose **when** the campaign goes out and **how fast**. Nothing is sent until
you confirm it here.

## Review the campaign

The **Review & schedule** step lays out everything the campaign will send, so you can
catch a mistake before it goes out:

- A **message preview** — sample recipients with their country and how many SMS parts
  each message uses.
- The **campaign details** — sender, included and excluded audience, and consent policy.
- The **order summary** — recipient count, cost per message and the **estimated cost**.
If your balance is too low to cover it, you'll see a warning here.

When the preview looks right, open the delivery options with **Schedule or send**. This
opens a panel where you set the timing and speed and then confirm.

## Send now or schedule

At the top of the panel, choose how the campaign goes out:

- **Send now** — *"Campaign will be sent immediately to all recipients."* Delivery
begins as soon as you confirm.
- **Schedule campaign** — *"Select a date and time to send your campaign."* Shortcuts
jump you to *in 1 hour* or *in 2 hours*, or pick any slot on the calendar.

A scheduled send has to be at least **5 minutes** in the future, and how far ahead you
can schedule depends on your plan. Times use your account's timezone — unless you turn
on local-time sending, below.

## Delivery speed

The **Delivery speed limit** controls how quickly messages leave once the campaign
starts. The default — **As quick as possible** — sends them at full speed; the other
options (from *At least 10 minutes* up to *At least 6 hours*) spread the send over a
longer window.

Slowing the send down is useful when a sudden wave of traffic to your site or call
centre would be hard to handle — the responses arrive more gradually. For very large
audiences a minimum spread may apply, so the fastest options aren't always available.

> **Note**: A slower speed only changes *when* each message is sent, not the total cost. Your
> balance is drawn down as the messages are processed, so a faster send completes the
> charge sooner.

## Send at the recipient's local time

Turn on **Send at recipients' local time** and Instasent sends each contact their
message at the chosen clock time *in their own timezone* — so 10:00 means 10:00 for a
contact in Spain and 10:00 for one in Mexico. The timezone comes from the contact's own
timezone, or their country if that's not set.

This toggle appears once you choose **Schedule campaign** (it works with a scheduled
send, not an immediate one), and it's a higher-plan feature. Instasent spreads delivery
across timezones automatically.

## Confirm

The button at the bottom of the panel confirms the campaign — its label matches the
choice you made above:

- **Confirm and send now** — for an immediate send.
- **Schedule campaign** — for a scheduled one.

Clicking **Confirm and send now** is already the final confirmation: the campaign moves
into **preparation** and the send begins once that finishes. If you chose a future date,
it goes into preparation first and, when that's done, sits in **Scheduled** until the
selected date. The stages — **Preparing → Scheduled → Sending** — are explained in the
[Campaigns overview](/platform/en/campaigns). Editing or cancelling a scheduled
campaign afterwards is covered in
[Managing campaigns](/platform/en/campaigns/managing-campaigns).
